CampKeep Privacy Policy

Short version: CampKeep collects information about you and your RV to run the app's features and to keep it free. We share and sell certain information to advertising and RV-industry partners. You can see, correct, or delete your data, and you can opt out of the sale of your personal information, at any time by emailing us.

Who we are

CampKeep ("we", "us") provides a mobile application that helps RV owners track maintenance, plan and navigate trips, and find services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Contact us at privacy@campkeep.xyz.

Information we collect

Account & profile: your name, email address, birth year, and gender (if provided).
Your RV: type, year, make, model, dimensions, weight, fuel type, generator/slide-out details, mileage, and (if you provide it) your VIN.
Location: your device location while you use trip planning and navigation, and to note which state you're in. Navigation uses your location continuously while a trip is active.
Usage: maintenance you log, trips you take (including miles driven), states visited, checklist activity, and taps on partner offers.
Device: standard technical data needed to deliver the app.

How we use it

To provide the app's features (maintenance reminders, RV-safe routing, recall lookups, service search).
To build a profile of you and your RV so we can show relevant offers and keep the app free.
To improve the app and understand how it's used.

How we share and sell information

CampKeep is a free app supported by advertising and referral partnerships. We share and may sell or share for cross-context advertising the information above — including profile, RV, and location-derived data — with:

RV dealers, insurers, warranty providers, campgrounds, and related advertisers;
affiliate and advertising networks;
analytics and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf.

We do not sell information about users we know to be under 16.

Third-party services

The app uses HERE (mapping/routing), the U.S. Energy Information Administration (fuel prices), the NHTSA vPIC and Recalls APIs (VIN decode and recalls), and Supabase (data storage). Tapping a partner offer or an Amazon product link opens a third party's site governed by their own privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: email privacy@campkeep.xyz with the subject "Do Not Sell" and we will stop selling/sharing your personal information.
Access, correction, deletion: email us to request a copy of your data, fix it, or delete it. You can also erase all local data in the app via Settings → "Erase everything & start over."
Location: you can turn off location permission in your device settings; navigation and trip features will be limited without it.

Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, and other states with privacy laws have the rights described above; we honor verified requests regardless of where you live.

Data retention & security

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

Children

CampKeep is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
